Millennium Medical Group recently participated in the 40th Project Healthy Living (formally Project-Health-O-Rama).  Project Healthy Living provides free or low-cost health screening tests and services to anyone at least 18 years of age and limited screenings for children under 18 with parental consent.  Free tests at all sites include blood pressure, height and weight, vision, glaucoma, health hazard appraisal, counseling and referral.

Project Healthy Living believes that access to good healthcare is a right and not a privilege.  This year the campaign offers additional help for those who need health insurance, pharmaceutical assistance, mental/emotional health and primary health care.  Participants with abnormal test results are contacted so follow-up can be provided.

Project Healthy Living is a community effort that provides participants with services that cover a wide variety of areas.  This is a volunteer-driven event made possible through the continued dedication and commitment from thousands of volunteers and several hundred local health and human service agencies.  Millennium Medical Group has received a "Special Thanks" for our efforts during this event.  Millennium Medical Group along with AstraZeneca participated in this event where several of our physicians and staff volunteered.
